Than Kosis was the father of Sab Than and the previous Jeddak of Zodanga.
He Kosis did not agree with his son on how the kingdom should be handled, and there was tension between the two. When Sab Than took out his frustrations on a guard, Than Kosis had him banished from the city for a week. When Sab Than returned he murdered his father and took his title.
